The room temperature is centrally controlled which cannot be adjusted at the room.. The average temperature is 25-26c which we felt very hot and stuffy. Although the hotel did provide a stand-alone cool fan when we asked any solution, it helped a little. This still made our stay very uncomfortable. We even woke up at midnight for few times due to the unpleasant room temperature. The design of the toilet is ridiculous. You can't close the door when you are inside the toilet and sit on the toilet bowl. The breakfast is lack of varieties. The eggs were not freshly made when ordered but cooked for a long time to serve. I ordered an omelette... it was surprised that the chef told out a pre-made omelette and fried it again to try to re-heat it. However as expected, it didn't taste good at all and even it was cold at the heart. This was the first time I had such experience when having eggs breakfast in a so-called 5 stars hotel. Not to mention the breakfast food didn't look attractive at all, there was also lack of refill and service. The breakfast time was supposed to end at 10:30, but there were alaredy empty bowls for all the fruits since 10:00. We were waiting for the re-fill but finally asked the manager why there was no more fruit at around 10:20 and he answered me we do have, why don't you get these. I then followed him to go out to take a look and what we could see were all empty bowls. He then asked what fruit I wanted and took out some for me from kitchen, but never intended to refill the empty bowls out there again.... Besides, there was no more dinner to be served in all of the restaurants of the hotel since 10pm... which we never expected for a 5-star hotel which supposed to serve many guests for business who may arrive Xiamen by night flight... In overall, I think the hotel is far from qualified as a "5-star" and "international"..
